Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to inform you that we will be organizing the 1st National Burn Congress and the 1st National Burn Nursing Congress together at the Antalya Susesi Hotel.

During the challenging environment brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, we all shouldered a heavy responsibility together. It has been a long time since we had the opportunity to gather the entire burn community face-to-face. Shortly after we began taking steps in this direction, we were deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our dear Ahmet Çınar Yastı. However, life goes on. We regrouped and established our association. We made sure that our association includes specialists from General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, which are all related to burns. We reached out to all our colleagues who are actively involved in burn care in our country, and we managed to establish our association with a founding committee of 39 members representing nearly all units and centers in the country.

We believe that our congress, which will address the fundamental topics related to burns, will be enriched by foreign invited speakers and will be very productive.

This will be the first congress of our association, and it will continue to be held regularly every year. Additionally, we are working on the Burn Book project, which we hope to complete by the date of the congress.

With your contributions, we look forward to seeing you at our congress, which will be scientifically enriching, socially vibrant, and inclusive of all stakeholders. We extend our warmest love and respect to you.
